The PreScreen Plus Drug Test Dip Card (EtG) is rapid chromatographic immunoassay for the qualitative detection of Ethyl Glucuronide in human urine. The designed cutoff concentration and direct calibrator for this drug is as follow:

Ethyl Glucuronide

The PreScreen Plus Drug Test Dip Card (EtG) is used to obtain visual qualitative and is intended to assist in the determination of compliance. This assay provide only a preliminary analytical test result. A more specific alternative chemical method must be used in order to obtain a confirmed analytical result. Gas Chromatography/ Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS) or Liquid Chromatography/ Mass Spectrometry (LC/MS) are the preferred confirmatory method. Clinical consideration and professional judgment should be applied to any drug of abuse test result, particularly when preliminary positive results are indicated.

IMPORTANT Test device, patient's sample, and controls should be brought to room temperature (59-86°F | 15-30°C) prior to testing. Do not open pouches until ready to perform the assay.

  1. Remove the test from its sealed pouch, and place it on a clean, level surface. Label the test with patient or control identification. For best results, the assay should be performed within one hour.
  2. Using the provided dip card, dip the test card in the urine and hold for 20-30 seconds.
As the test begins to work, color will migrate across the membrane.
  3. Wait for the colored band(s) to appear. The result should be read at 5 minutes. Do not interpret the result after 10 minutes.

Positive ResultPOSITIVE: Only one colored band appears, in the control region (C). No apparent colored band appears in the test region (T).
Negative ResultNEGATIVE: Two colored bands appear on the membrane. One band appears in the control region (C) and another band appears in the test region (T).

Invalid Result

INVALID: Control band fails to appear. Results from any test which has not produced a control band at the specific read time must be discarded. Please review the procedure and repeat with a new test. If the problem persists, discontinue using the kit immediately and contact your local distributor.

  1. The intensity of color in the test region (T) may vary depending on the concentration of analytes present in the specimen. Therefore, any shade of color in the test region should be considered negative. Note that this is a qualitative test only, and cannot determine the concentration of analytes in the specimen.
  2. Insufficient specimen volume, incorrect operating procedure or expired tests are the most likely reasons for control band failure.

  1. For forensic use only.
  2. The PreScreen Plus Drug Test Dip Card (EtG) is for forensic use, and should be only used for the qualitative detection of drugs of abuse.
  3. The assay is designed for use with human urine only.
  4. A positive result with any of the tests indicates only the presence of a drug/metabolite and does not indicate or measure intoxication.

The pouched PreScreen Plus Drug Test Dip Card (EtG) should be stored at normal humidity and room temperature or refrigerated (36-86°F | 2-30°C) until the expiration date stated on the pouch. The product is humidity-sensitive and should be used immediately after being opened. Any test in an improperly sealed pouch should be discarded.

Designed for ETG (Ethyl Glucuronide), this “Forensic Use Only” dip card has a cutoff concentration of 500 ng/mL. The drug test dip card requires the urine sample to be at room temperature (59-68 F / 15-30 C), before performing a test. The dip card only has to be immersed for 20-30 seconds, which will deliver results in 5 minutes. The test results should not be interpreted, 10 minutes after testing.
