The latest craze for your adults and teenagers is going to summer music festivals. These have become increasingly popular as the economy is still in the toilet and artists have all been on one bill to boost ticket sales. With this new trend of festivals in the U.S. there has also become a new drug trend. If your teen or young adult has never been exposed to an environment in which drugs and alcohol are taken, this is going to be the time where they will be exposed first hand.

The latest drug to make it on the scene and even more so in a music festival setting is “Molly”. Molly is a powdered or crystal form of MDMA which is the main ingredient used to make Ecstasy. Some sellers and buyers of this drug claim that Molly is all the fun of drugs that are similar to it, with none of the bad side effects/risks; such as impairment, non-addictive, and killing brain cells. The DEA says that Molly can cause confusion, anxiety, depression, paranoia, sleep problems and drug craving. When it comes to health risks, after taking Molly chances are you might experience involuntary teeth clenching, a loss of inhibitions, transfixion, nausea, vision blurred, chills, and sweating. Serious causes of Molly use can resolve in seizures, high blood pressure, and increased heart rate.

Before you let your young teenager or adult out to any environment where drugs are going to be made available make sure you teach them all about the what drugs/alcohol are and the short and long term side effects.
